Center for Litigation Trust to expand to Kilifi County

Kilifi is one of the counties in the region targeted for the Center for Litigation Trust programs due to numerous cases of historical land injustices and children's rights abuses being documented in the County.

The Center plans to devolve it services to help address challenges facing marginalized communities in the County, especially children and women whose rights to land ownership and justice have been severely abused.

"Kilifi will be our next stop from Mombasa, and we plan to open an office in Kilifi town where those in need of our legal representation and litigation services can easily access us and be served accordingly," says the Centre's Executive Director Julius Ogogoh.

Several families in Kilifi cannot afford the legal fees for court processes or lack information on inheritance laws and land rights, exacerbating disputes.

Land injustices is a critical issue that the Center for Litigation Trust actively addresses through Court/ legal representations in terms of legal aid and support , policy and law reforms , and research and advocacy.

"We provide a wide range of legal and advocacy services aimed at strengthening access to justice , protecting human rights and shaping progressive policies for a fairer society" says Ogogo.

Through it's legal research program, the  CLT team of professionals will help in producing in-depth legal analysis to strengthen advocacy and policy reforms.
